The territory
Five kilometres of coastal plain with low sandy beaches bordering here and there on Mediterranean woodland; then limestone and siliceous hills rising towards the west with terraces, dry stone walls, vineyards and olive groves; pinewoods and other woodland.
A first step on the way to the Apuan Alps which reach up majestically towards the east of the Province, crowned by the southern side of the Tuscan Emilian Apennines.
Starting from the north, in the coastal area you have the cities of Carrara and then Massa, each with its important centre on the sea; in the hinterland, the old cities, the hillside towns and the villages, the chestnut woods and the cultivated areas of Lunigiana, laced over with grapevines and with beech and ash trees. Sea and mountains.
See the Interactive Map of the province with Investment Opportunities.
