The offer for tourists in the Province of Massa Carrara goes from the small towns and castles of Lunigiana, greatly appreciated by foreign visitors, and where high level farmhouse accommodation has taken root in the last few years, to the coastal plain, which is a sea resort full of hotels as well as other solutions like hostels and camp sites.

Summer tourism is attracted by the quality of the beach clubs along the coast, concentrated above all in the zones of Marina di Massa and on the hilly shoreline of Cinquale, but added to that there are also the trade fairs, whose development has come about on account of the Expo complex in Marina di Carrara.

Apuan tourism is principally made up of European visitors (Germans, Swiss, French, Dutch and Belgians). Tourists from the United States of America practically constitute the total of non-European visitors.
