Massa-Carrara, February the 17th 2006 – The Italian bathing market participants are showing optimism. They expect an important recovery in this industry, though they are aware there are many problems. This is the main idea expressed during  the presentation of the 7th edition of “Balnearia”, the exhibition of  bathing equipment and outdoor furniture, whose opening ceremony  takes place at Carrara Fair today. The Tuscany Region’s Productive Assets Councillor Ambrogio Brenna and the  Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia in Italy Susanto Sutoyo will cut the ribbon at the opening ceremony. 124 exhibitors on an exhibition surface of  15.000 sqm will attend this exhibition and show the latest in beach and swimming pool equipment. In Italy there are about 6.000 bathing establishments to be found both on the seacoast and on lakesides. Most of the bathing establishments are in Emilia Romagna (23%), while Liguria follows with 16% and Tuscany with its 14% .
