THE PROVINCE OF MASSA-CARRARA IS EXHIBITING AT VINITALY 2007 THIS YEAR
The best wines produced in the province of Massa-Carrara will be presented for the first time at Vinitaly 2007 in Verona. Vinitaly is the most important national and international exhibition as far as techniques and science of wine-making is concerned.
From March 29th to April 2nd visitors may receive all possible information about production and wine characteristics at the institutional stand of the region of Tuscany (pav. 8). These great quality wines produced in a small area, are well-known abroad.
Tasting complete the agenda of what’s become the event for the wine sales in Italy.
Outstanding fine wines include D.O.C. (Controlled Designation of Origin) Candia wine from the Apuan hills, which was produced already in 200 B.C., “Vermentino” Colli di Luni from the hills of Luni., but also IGT (Typical Geographical Indication) “Val di Magra” white, red and rosé wine and I.G.T. red Toscano made with local grapes like Vermentino nero and Barsaglina to name a few.
