Professional formation
The continuing evolution of the work market makes it necessary for companies, workers and citizens in general to acquire experience and competence that are in line with this technological progress, its new language and its systems of organization and production. In this context, formation has become a strategic instrument for those who are looking for a job and want to be professionally qualified, for companies who intend to put themselves at an advantage with respect to their competitors and for the workers themselves. The range of training on offer has increased and become more inclusive in recent years, to such a point that it is no longer easy to find your way around in the panorama of training offers and it is no simple task to choose the right path to take. For this reason, the Settore Politiche del Lavoro e Formazione Professionale (the Work Policies and Professional Formation Sector) of the Province regards its communications giving information on professional formation as one of the most important aspects of its activities is.
The pathways to formation are co-financed by the European Social Fund and they are programmed directly by the Province by proxy of the Tuscan Region. The formation activities are carried out indirectly in an agreed format by certified work formation Boards belonging to associations of various different natures, and they are non-profit making. Periodically, the Province publishes the competitions for enrolment in the professional formation courses with reference not only to the different age groups and the state of employment but also to the qualifications already held, classified in the following way:
- courses for compulsory formation
- post diploma and post graduate courses
- superior technical formation instruction courses
- courses for the unemployed, women and the under-privileged
- courses for the employed
- corsi per occupati
- formation apprenticeships
- vouchers in individual instruction for employees, people with diplomas and graduates
